Year 10 Students Attend Research Day at CHeBA

Aspiring Year 10 students from schools across New South Wales have been given a taste of research life in CHeBA’s Brain & Ageing Research Laboratory.
Matthew Wong, together with Leader of the Brain & Ageing Research Laboratory – Dr Nady Braidy, and fellow CHeBA PhD students Yue Liu, Marina Ulanova and Gurjeet Kaur hosted up to six high school students across two separate days in November.

DECRA Success for Star CHeBA Researcher

Co-Leader of CHeBA’s Molecular Biology group at CHeBA, Dr Nady Braidy continued his outstanding research record when he was awarded an Australian Research Council/Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) this month.
The award provides funding for Dr Braidy to continue his ground-breaking research in the field of sirtuins. Sirtuins, or “silent information regulators” of gene transcription, are enzymes found in all life.
