Heidi Douglass is the Team Lead - Innovations & Communications for the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA).  Her interest lies in generating understanding and awareness in the community about the relationship between physical health and brain health, and the need for research and research funding to look toward a brighter future with regard to age-related brain disorders (particularly Alzheimer's disease and dementia).  She is the creator of The Dementia Momentum initiative and Wipeout Dementia.

The awards embody the faculty’s commitment to those values.

 

2013 Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Heidi received this award for the development of the CHeBA Champion Fitness Ambassador program which recruited fitness professionals and enthusiasts in their 20s, 30s and 40s to champion healthy brain ageing through healthy lifestyles from a young age.
