Dr Inga Mehrani is the Project Manager for the Australian Memory Clinics Network project which is part of the NHMRC-funded Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT). The Australian Memory Clinics Network aims to connect clinicians involved in the diagnostics of individuals with cognitive decline and dementia within Australia and boost collaboration. The project further aims to establish a common clinical and cognitive dataset to harmonise standards across Australia’s Memory Clinics. This will facilitate the development of clinically feasible and high-quality diagnostic guidelines and highly efficient assessment tools.

Inga is a trained Speech Pathologist and therefore developed a keen research interests in the improvement of diagnosis and treatment for individuals with stroke-induced and neurodegenerative language impairments. In 2018, Inga completed her PhD in Cognitive Science as part of the International Doctorate for Experimental Approaches to Language and Brain (IDEALAB) at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) and the University of Groningen (Groningen, The Netherlands). Her most recent research focuses on speech planning processes (i.e., conceptualisation) and possible conceptualisation deficits in speakers with stroke-induced and primary progressive aphasia.
