Summary

Setting: Washington Heights, Hamilton Heights, Inwood, Columbia USA
Start Date: 1989
End Date: Ongoing
Particpants: Multi-ethnic sample of around 6,000 individuals from three recruitment waves
Measures:

(1) Dementias (including late-onset Alzheimer's disease), MCI, and age-related cognitive decline; (2) Emotional health, IADLs, blood pressure, anthropometric measures, cardiovascular status, and selected biomarkers (lipids, amyloid  β peptides, sex hormones, homocysteine, insulin, and C-reactive protein); (3) Subgroups with MRI and PET scans.
