Launch of the WHO Dementia Research Blueprint

With major input from researchers at CHeBA, led by Scientia Professor Perminder Sachdev, WHO has developed a Dementia Research Blueprint, to be launched in Geneva on October 4. The objective of this blueprint is to make dementia support the realization of a world in which research on dementia is a priority, so that innovation is accelerated, and efficient solutions are found for people living with dementia, their carers and those at risk of dementia in all its forms. The Blueprint emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusiveness at all stages, from generation to implementation, with respect to stakeholders and people targeted by research. The Blueprint should be a basis for comprehensive technical guidance and priority-setting in dementia research and create an environment for rapid innovation while ensuring equity and inclusiveness.
