Setting: Central African Republic and Republic of Congo
Start Date: 2011–12
End Date: 2014
Participants: 2002 people aged 65 years old and over (around 500 rural and 500 urban in each country)
Assessment Schedule: Baseline and 2-year follow-up
Measures: (1) Sociodemographic status; (2) Lifestyle and cardiovascular risk factors; (3) Health status and frailty; (4) Cognition, diagnoses of MCI and dementia, stressful life events; (5) Blood samples and genotyping
