ICC-Dementia is a dementia work group of the International Consortium of Centenarian (ICC) studies brought together to apply standard diagnostic criteria for dementia to centenarian cohorts around the world.
Studies are eligible to participate in ICC-Dementia if they meet the following criteria:
(i) The main focus is on individuals aged ≥95 years
(ii) Have a minimum sample of 80 individuals
(iii) Assessment includes measures of cognitive function and activities of daily living
(iv) Informed consent forms allow for de-identified data sharing with academic partners.
All participating studies have the opportunity to participate in the analyses and to propose specific projects and papers.
ICC-Dementia was established in 2012 and has stated interest in participating from 15 studies.
Studies from South America and Africa are particularly encouraged to apply.
