Dr. Sudarshan Sachdev is an ophthalmologist who has had his own private practice in Sydney for over thirty years. He completed his Ophthalmolgy training in Glasgow, Scotland before moving to Australia.
He is the past president of Rosebay Rotary club, in which he has overseen both local and international community projects. Rotary awarded Dr Sachdev with a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of his dedication to restoring vision in communities of need. He has organised volunteer teams to provide eye care in both Fiji and India and personally performed hundreds of cataract operations in very trying conditions of underdeveloped nations.
He has a keen interest in healthy ageing and prevention of dementia having lost his mother to Alzheimer’s disease. He has supported medical researchers in various disciplines of medicine.
